The Music Ministry at Zion exists to glorify God and edify His people through music and programs which actively promote Word and Sacrament worship, Lutheran catechesis, and musical education. Our choirs and ensembles are outlets for both accomplished musicians as well as those simply wishing to praise God through their music. Contact the Minister of Music if you are interested in participating.

Choirs and ensembles provide opportunities for musicians of all ages.

The Senior Choir leads worship two or three times a month and for all festival services.

Children's choirs are comprised of the various classes at Zion Lutheran School, where each child is in a choir with the other students in his class.

Student Handbell Choirs include students in grades 6, 7, and 8, and rehearsals are held immediately after school, twice a week.

The Youth Choir is comprised of high school and college age students and meets from 7 to 8 p.m. on Sunday evenings.

The Chamber Ensemble is made up of adults in the congregation who play an instrument and performs occasionally for Hymn Festivals and Concerts.

The Praise Ensemble leads worship for the 6 p.m. Sunday worship service at Zion.

The Adult Handbell Choir rehearses weekly and contributes regularly to worship services and concerts.

In addition to the participatory Music Ministry programs at Zion, the Music Ministry also presents a Concert Series each year.  We have been pleased to host such groups as The Texas Voices, The Orchestra of New Spain, Dallas Bach Society, and the Orpheus Chamber Singers, among others.  We invite you to come and join us for one of our Concerts in this year's Concert Series.
