About Our Youth Ministry
Helping 6-12th grade students CONNECT to one another, LEARN from God’s Word, GROW as a disciple of Jesus, and make an IMPACT on the world in His name.
Learn more about the unique opportunities for middle school and high school students. For most of our events middle school and high school students meet separately. But several times a year we will bring ALL our students together for IMPACT service events, a big CONNECT event, or a fundraiser!
Check out these resources (websites and apps) for encouragement and help as you explore your faith!
Meet our Youth Minister:
Carolyn received her Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University, Irvine in 2008, majoring in both Christian Education Leadership and Psychology. After serving a one year internship here at Zion, Carolyn received her Director of Christian Education certificate from Concordia University, Irvine, and was called to Zion as the Minister of Youth and Parish Education. Carolyn is currently working towards her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University.
Carolyn loves reading, eating out, coffee, and dark chocolate. Carolyn is married to Isaac Ristow, a high school choir director in Fort Worth ISD, and they have a black lab named Howard. They enjoy movies, being outdoors, camping, cooking together, and of course, playing with Howard.
